Asleep (Inverness, 1985) - The Smiths
This was apparently the solitary live performance of this song; played to a whistling, laughing and ultimately disinterested crowd who after being told to “Shut up!” by Morrissey at the end of the previous song, well, didn’t. It might be too far to call them ungrateful but it’s a shame there wasn’t a more general realisation of how special this really was.
