buy this book.

I can’t put this book down.  I’ve been waiting to read it for sooooo so long and the wait has been completely worth it.  It’s heavy and heartbreaking, but it’s written in a wonderfully human way - a raw and incredibly emotional story of a butch’s struggle for internal and external acceptance in 60’s/70’s America, told so openly and naturally as to shock and inspire in equal measure.
